THE EDITING
WORKSHOP
ARIZONA: MARCH 12-14
Where
March 2023 we are having an 8 person workshop at Steph's home in Arizona. Attendees are invited for a quiet meet and greet dinner Sunday March 12th at a local Mexican Restaurant. The next two days will be filled with morning education. We will go over submitted images, editing a few shoots from start to finish and a wedding teaser. We will learn techniques that Steph teaches in her one on one mentoring sessions and will use different profiles. Each attendee is asked to submit images that we can work thru. After a full morning of editing we will head to the desert and capture a real life couple. Steph will show how she poses and the settings she uses on her cameras to get that dreamy film effect. Day 2 will be editing the images you shot the afternoon before. Attendees are asked to bring a computer so the learning can be affective and any issues can be solved in real time.
Breakfast and Lunch will be provided both days.
A Note: These shoots are not detail-focused. Our workshops focus on the meaning of an image. Creating a relationship with your subject is one of the most important things I teach. This workshop is for those wanting to step out of the industry mold and create authentic images. There will not be tables-capes or flat lays. We are here to truly tell a story with our subjects and the backdrops where we place them.
Education
No one workshop is alike and so during the Arizona Editing Workshop will be focused on educating on the following:
- Creating a smooth and easy workflow
- Film Matching
- Matching multiple cameras will be consistent throughout
- Creating a style in your editing that fits your artistic vision
- Natural and Authentic Posing
- Creating a sense of calm and enjoyment when working with your clients
Who is this for
This workshop is for anyone with a camera in their hand and wants to create a successful photography business. You do not need to be a pro or even shoot film. We are here to learn from one another and help each other become successful photographers.
Details
There are 8 available slots for this Workshop. The boutique experience is meant to give each attendee ample time to create their own individual images and edit those shoots without pressure or time constraints.
When: March 12-14
Where: Mesa, Arizona
How Much: $1500 Per Attendee (50% deposit to reserve your spot)

Food & Lodging
Mesa isn't the fanciest place around, but it is close to many beautiful landscape locations. The closest hotel to me is below. I have also listed a couple others that would be beautiful to stay in that are located in Scottsdale. It's not far (quick 30 min drive) if you are not local to the area.
Lodging:
- Home 2 Suites by Hilton - This place is right nearby and close to a pizza place and a brewery
- Hotel Valley Ho- If you want t o be in the middle of downtown scottsdale, check out this super cute and colorful hotel. It's walking distance from the heart of Scottsdale.
- Mountain Shadows - If you want s ome stunning mountain views check out this location. Its a little over 30 min from the house in Mesa and is in the luxury part of Scottsdale.
Food:
- Red White & Brew - Really good brick oven Pizza that is nearby. Great outside seating as well.
- Board & Batten - Really adorable eatery. They are closed Sunday-Monday but open Tues.
- Dvine Bistro - If you like wine bars, this is the place to go. Great food and live music.
